Cross-Posting (Multiply-Blogspot) Problem

I cannot believe that it has been a year since the last time I wrote in this blog!
Of course, I still write in my other blogs, but this blog is meant to be my landing page, and I have been neglecting it! It is definitely unacceptable!

Anyway..

Lately, I've been posting to my blogs from my 'Multiply' account, in my attempt to centralize my cyber-world. However, it turned out that all the photos that I uploaded on 'Multiply', are only linked to my blogspot blogs, whenever I cross-post. The photos are not actually copied and pasted. Therefore, whenever 'Multiply' is offline (for routine maintenance, for example), the photos are not visible in my blogspot blogs!

Aaarrggghhh....

There you go.. I'm learning the hard way again...

I guess, I really have to keep reminding myself to be consistent to upload my photos into 'Picasa' and work on all my photos from there.. I suppose by doing that, I can lighten the burden of my computer memory too.. :-)

My Blogging World..

Many people are currently hooked on Facebook, while me?? It's a slightly different story.. :-)

I like Facebook because it gives me the chance to keep up with old friends. They can move house, they can change their phone numbers, they can change anything they want, but as long as they are still in Facebook using their real names, I can always find them.

However, Facebook's status is not my kind of thing.. I'm serious! I'm the kind of person who likes to be in 'meaningful' conversation. That is why I prefer writing in blogs than updating my Facebook status. With blogs, I can fully represent myself. I can talk about the things I want to share with people. People can also have verbal interactions with me by giving comments or sending me emails.

I have been slowly building up my circle of friends in my blogs over the years, and recently, I found a few very interesting blogs which I decided to follow.  I hope some -or all- of these bloggers would be happy to be my friends.. :-)

If any of you are interested in making friends with great bloggers too, why don't you go and meet these people.. Oh, these blogs are mainly in Indonesian and that's nice right?

Ariq's E-Diary

I have great news!

Ariq has started his own blog.. so, I'm including his blog on my list.. :-)

He is currently still writing in Indonesian, but I'm pretty sure that soon he will start writing in English too, so.. watch out for his new posts..!!

pssttt... Ariq really loves receiving comments on his blog posts.. and if you write short comments in English, he tends to reply in English too.. :-)))

Blog modification will commence again

I just read in a newly published book (the book is in Indonesian, and I can't see it anywhere at the moment), that having a left sidebar on a blog does not help search engines to find the blog when someone searches for keywords.

This might be the reason why since I changed the template of my blog, the impressions and clicks on my blogs went down significantly (my adsense reporting wasn't that much to start with, now it's almost nothing at all)..

Now I have to try to find a way to keep my blog interesting and informative while bearing my personality, and at the same time, letting search engine find it easily.

Let's see, how much better I can make my blog this time. I know it will be great to actually earn some money from adsense, but the most importantly, I really want to learn how to build a good blog, both from content side and format side (artistically and financially).

I will come back with the title and author of the book I was talking about.. :-)

This Week's Update

I am hoping to put up some new pictures and more news.. I have also invited new authors for my favourite and bersama kita sehat blogs. I hope the new authors will accept my invitations and start writing at their first convenience :-)
